Warner Bros. Confirm New Gremlins & Beetlejuice Films

Warner Bros Pictures co-CEOs Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy have confirmed we can expect new entries into both the Beetlejuice and Gremlins franchises.

In an exclusive interview with Deadline, they revealed the fact a third Beetlejuice and Gremlins film are both on the way when asked "Are you already developing sequels for both Minecraft and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice?"

Gremlins of course found new life in 2022 with a successful animated prequel series Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai and the follow-up Gremlins: The Wild Batch last year. Columbus himself described his Gremlins 3 script as "twisted & dark" in an interview with SlashFilm in August 2017.

"I'm really proud of the script. It is as twisted and dark as anything, so we'll see. It's always a budgetary conversation when we're going to shoot it. I wanted to go back to the really twisted sensibility of the first movie. I found that was a very easy place for me to fall back into and start writing again so hopefully we'll see that movie soon."

Warner Bros. Confirm New Gremlins & Beetlejuice Films

Beetlejuice made his return in Tim Burton's long awaited sequel to his 1988 film last year, and Warner Brothers will be bringing him back for a third. Whether or not Burton will be involved is yet to be seen, same with the cast.
