Regan MacNeil Heads To Hollywood As Universal Studios Announce The Exorcist For HHN

As promised Universal are pulling out all the stops for this years Halloween Horror Nights! And it appears fans will be getting another dose of classic horror as they announce the return of William Friedkin's 1974 film The Exorcist, as well as their original maze The Curse of Pandora's Box.

Regan and Captain Howdy will be joining Beetlejuice, Leatherface, the Bride of Frankenstein and the Ghosts of Hill House at this years event at Universal Studios Hollywood. As revealed by Universal “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood is back with a vengeance as tickets are now on sale with menacing fan favourite mazes, “The Exorcist” and “The Curse of Pandora’s Box,” joining an unnerving line-up at Southern California’s intensely immersive Halloween event. Guests can click here to purchase tickets, and due to popular demand, the event is expected to sell out. Event dates are: September 9-12, 16-19, 23-26, 30 and October 1-3, 7-10, 14-17, 21-24, 28-31.”

The film that fueled your worst nightmares has returned to Halloween Horror Nights. Enter the most haunting scenes from the film as 12-year-old Regan is possessed by a demon, possibly the devil himself. It’s a battle of the wills between good and evil.

This year, guests will be possessed by “The Exorcist” maze, often revered as the most terrifying movie of all-time, as they live the tormented aberrations experienced by Regan and her determined mother.

The scariest movie of all time has possessed Halloween Horror Nights again. But this time, the demon knows you’re coming. Enter the most haunting scenes from the film as the once-innocent 12-year-old Regan begins to act stranger and stranger, speaking in tongues, even turning violent. Her desperate mother consults doctors to diagnose the problem, but this is beyond their help, beyond their world. Watch in horror as Regan is transformed into a monstrous creature by Pazuzu, the demon possessing her. Try to survive a battle between good and evil, as a little girl’s soul hangs in the balance. The Exorcist is back, but this time the demon knows you’re coming.

Horror also re-emerges in ultraviolet with the addition of the original concept maze, “The Curse of Pandora’s Box.” Inspired by the most fearsome creatures in Greek mythology, this disturbing experience transports guests from the land of the living to the nightmarish netherworld of Hades where the demonic temptress Pandora serves as their guide.

An ancient horror has returned to prey on those foolish enough to tempt the Fates. Enter Pandora’s Curiosity Shop, home to her infamous box. Once it’s been opened, all manner of evil will be unleashed. From her shop, you’ll pass through the Gates of Hades, guarded by a hellhound. Then you’ll face hordes of netherworld monsters, from snake-haired Medusa, to Arachne’s spidery snare. Greek mythology is about to become your monstrous reality.

Designed to taunt, terrorise and torment guests as they navigate the darkness from one frightening maze to another, “Halloween Horror Nights” also features the previously announced line-up with more mazes and experiences to be announced soon...

 

Universal's Halloween Horror Nights runs on select dates throughout September & October.
