Kyle Richards Officially Returning For Halloween Ends

Kyle Richards returned to the Halloween franchise for this years Halloween Kills, reprising her character Lindsey Wallace. A character she had not played since John Carpenter's original back in 1979, in fact this character had not really had much mention in the franchise since the first film which made her return that little bit sweeter for fans.

Although she had very little screen time in Kills, she did manage to survive her encounter with The Shape. The last time we see her is when she is taken into Haddonfield Memorial Hospital around the halfway mark, so the big question was would she be back to finish David Gordon Green's trilogy with Halloween Ends? Green had previously teased it but Variety have just officially announced she is set to reprise her role for Ends stating "Richards recently closed her deal for Halloween Ends, which heads into production next month and is set to be released in Oct. 2022."

As reported by Variety- "sources say that after Richards garnered positive reception from fans in Halloween Kills, the filmmakers re-wrote the script to include her character in Halloween Ends, crafting an expanded storyline for her return." Whilst she didn't reunite with Jamie Lee Curtis in the latest film, she said she has hopes for the next one.

"When my character didn’t die, I was like, ‘Uhh, hello!' The last movie, I saw Jamie on the set, but we didn’t have stuff together. So I’m really hoping that there is more stuff together. I can’t talk about any storylines, but all I can say is that we start filming in January, and I’m so excited to return with Jamie Lee Curtis and David Gordon Green."

Jason Blum, producer on David Gordon Green's sequel trilogy told Variety they are "thrilled that Kyle will be reprising her role in Halloween Ends."

"The return of iconic characters in ‘Halloween Kills’ was really important to David Gordon Green. And he took great pains to bring back the original actors when he could"

Halloween Ends is set to begin production in January with a current release date of 14th October 2022
