John Gore Media Limited acquires Silver Salt Restoration as they look to continue building on the Hammer brand as their 90th Anniversary approaches. According to the press release, this is “part of a exciting and strategic development” which will include 4K Ultra HD remasters of Hammer’s iconic films.

Silver Salt, which has a long history of working with some of the industry's leading names including Arrow, StudioCanal and the BFI, will now take on some of the iconic films within our portfolio, particularly those under our Hammer Films label, to ensure they are revitalised for future generations."
Silver Salt is currently working on the remastering of rare Hammer Films cult classics, many of which have been out of circulation for years. These films will undergo meticulous 4K restoration and preservation, allowing both dedicated fans and new audiences to experience these forgotten gems in the highest possible quality.

There’s no word yet as to which of their films will be getting the remaster treatment and what the releases will include, but we’ll update as soon as we know. Here’s hoping they do their entire back catalogue! Celebrating their 90th Anniversary this November, fans can also be on the lookout for Sky documentary ‘Hammer: Heroes, Legends & Monsters’.
