It appears that 2024 is one hell of a year for Nosferatu. In addition to the upcoming Robert Eggers remake, David Lee Fisher's near shot-for-shot remake is now available to stream.
Doug Jones Stars In Nosferatu Remake
Eight years in the making (and not to be confused with Eggers upcoming film), director Fisher's new take on the horror classic Nosferatu features Doug Jones as the iconic Count Orlok. Titled Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, the new indie horror movie has been described as a remix of the 1922 original with new actors, dialogue, sound, and musical score.
“Summoned to a faraway castle, a land clerk embarks on a harrowing journey into the unknown as his innocent wife falls under the spell of a terrifying shadow.”
The silver screen's first vampire rises once again in this never-before-seen cinematic remix of the classic horror masterpiece. Starring Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, Hocus Pocus, The Shape of Water, Hellboy).
This is scene-for-scene the same story as the 1922 film, but with a new cast and a green screen element for every frame of the movie. Bloody disgusting learnt, "What will be filled in that green screen is a digitally created backdrop from the original film."
You can check out the trailer below. Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror is currently available digitally from Amazon Prime Video & Apple TV.
