Earlier this month Bruce Campbell revealed in an interview with Empire that a new Evil Dead film was on the way from The Hole in the Ground filmmaker, Lee Cronin. Now with an interview with Diabolique, he revealed a bit more information regarding the film as well as a new title.
"The official name is Evil Dead Rise. We’re getting a new draft in. I don’t think anything will happen until 2021. Full bore ahead, we’re very excited about it. A whole, new ballgame. No more cabin in the woods."
As we said before this film unfortunately won't feature Campbell's beloved character Ash, and will most likely not feature any ties to Alvarez's 2013 Evil Dead film. It seems this film will be a brand new story within the Evil Dead Universe. Hopefully we won't have to wait long until we get more info regarding the film.
